Kenneth Clark, a renowned art historian, rightly points out that it is difficult, if not impossible, to reconstruct the creation of art within the context of its time before the Industrial Revolution. The knowledge required to truly understand, to "experience," to bring to life a period of history, a part of an era, and an understanding of the world of the people who lived in it, would have to be vast.

The goal of private art mediation is to enable this emotional understanding and the comprehension of connections in order to make art and history visible.
