Kenneth Clark, a well-known art historian, rightly says that it is difficult, if not impossible, to understand the emergence of art in the consciousness of its time before the industrial revolution. The knowledge would have to be wide-ranging in order to feel, to  "experience" a period of history, a part of an century, and the understanding of the world of the people who lived in it, to bring it to life.

The aim of private art mediation is to enable this emotional understanding and understanding of the meaning within art in order to make art and history vibrantly visible.
